Dance Dance Revolution
The title of this post trivially refers to the NCAA tournament, but was chosen solely as an excuse to show this little kid who has achieved more in his 5 years than I ever will. Little known fact: my wife actually tried Dance Dance Revolution once, and scored a zero. Stephen Hawking could score at least a point.
Here are BT's quick hits for the NCAA tournament:
- Final Four: Florida, Kansas, Texas A&M, Georgetown. Sadly, after picking this group, Bill Simmons made an identical prediction. Perhaps I'm not as knowledgable as I thought. The toughest pick for me is Kansas, because I think UCLA will give them a fantastic game. I have Florida taking it down.
- The Big Ten will flounder. I have them going 5-6 as a conference, despite 3 wins from Ohio State. I also have zero ACC teams in the final 8. (My breakdown is 3 Big 12, 2 Pac 10, 1 Big Ten, 1 SEC, 1 Big East).
- Kevin Durant is the absolute man. I honestly believe that he is the best college basketball player I've ever seen. Can anyone name one better?
- In case anyone is looking to lay down some pride points against the spread in the first round, here are BT's stone cold locks: UNLV +1.5 over Ga Tech (UNLV should be favored by about 3.5), Nevada -1 over Creighton (Nevada should be a 5 seed, if not higher), Villanova -1 over Kentucky (Villanova is simply the better team, and will have the best player on the court).
- It is a little late to say this now that they have lost in the NIT, but I thought Drexel had absolutely no argument for exclusion from the tournament. They lost 5 games in the Colonial! They finished 4th in that league, behind Hofstra. Nobody argued that Hofstra should have been in. Argument over. If you want to have any shot at an at large bid from the Colonial, you cannot lose more than 3 games. The real team that got snubbed was Syracuse, and the snub-ber was Arkansas.
- You know what would completely suck? If you had to move into a new apartment during the first weekend of March Madness. Oh, wait. That will suck. For me.

Sheesh, I copied EJ's final four as well. I didn't even realize... That just shows you that each of those teams have no shot.
Oh, and if I had to make a pick of super-sleeper (officially defined as a 6 seed or lower) to make the final four, I'd take Nevada.
